At Cima Collina, we pride ourselves on being one of the most dog friendly tasting rooms in Carmel Valley. We have plenty of space both within the tasting room and on the patio for furry friends. If you have been by on a weekend you will definitely recognize some of our regulars, Hudson & Nugget! Also, with every bottle of Howlin’ Good Red purchased, you have helped us support one of our favorite causes: The SPCA for Monterey County. We give a 25% donation for every bottle sold of Howlin’ Good Red. Last year alone we donated $1,333.60!
If you haven’t brought your dog to a tasting room before, we wrote out a few guidelines to help everyone enjoy their experience!
Make sure your dog is healthy, up to shots & flea meds. Their other doggy friends will thank you! A little exercise beforehand is a good idea too to wear them out & do their business. And a pre wine tasting meal is advice we all should take more often!
If you have a younger dog -or are still working on socializing them, visit us at a less busy time. Most days early in the week you will practically have the patio to yourself and you will be able to gage how your dog interacts with other dogs and humans. We have a great shady spot under the oak tree & around the fire pit that you will be able to sip on a glass of wine with your pooch undisturbed.
There can be a lot of distractions here at Cima Collina: food on the patio, people running around, etc. Therefore, we require that you keep your dog on leash and a close eye on him/her until you are sure they are really comfortable at our location. (We have a few cellar cats that hang out and catch mice after hours & they would prefer not to be chased.)
We have a few doggy treats and extra water bowls but it’s always good to pack some treats, toys, and a spare baggy never hurts either for accidents!
We hope to see you soon!
