Covert Operations

We thought it would be fun to release our 2006 Monterey County Pinot Noir by covert means. The Wine Spies, particularly our operative Agent Red, discovered this wine and pulled some strings to get a good price from us for today only! Check out his review.

The French Connection
May 27th, 2008 by Annette
During the past year-and-a-half, I’ve been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to start the Monterey Bay Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier along with some incredible local ladies. “LDEI International” is a worldwide society of professional women of high achievement in the fields of food, fine beverage and hospitality, and the vision of this group is to share knowledge, support members and provide leadership, educational opportunities, and philanthropic events for the larger community.
I’m happy to announce that we have organized our first fundraiser — “The French Connection” — at the Chappellet Estate in Pebble Beach on the afternoon of Sunday, June 8. Our fundraising efforts will go in part to the Community Fund of Monterey County’s Women’s Fund and also to the Escoffier Museum in France to fund the preservation of the original menus of the great chef Escoffier. Michel Escoffier — the grandson of the Chef Escoffier — will speak. Food will be prepared by our incredible local “Dame” chefs , Wendy Brodie, Mary Chamberlin, Janet Melac, Maureen Signorella and the fabulous chefs at Pebble Beach. Wines will be provided by Chappellet, Chateau Julien and Cima Collina. We’ve also organized some fabulous auction items…..
