Cima Collina’s Tasting Room, and sad news…

July 24th, 2007 by Annette

I’ve been on a much-needed vacation away. I actually got somewhat of a tan (imagine that!), but am back and will attempt to pick-up the pace on this blog again!!

Our tasting room is open. Please see this article (go to page 20) in The Carmel Pinecone for more information. The tasting room is located on the westside of San Carlos, between Ocean and 7th in Carmel-by-the-Sea. It is open 11-6 Thursday thru Monday (closed Tuesday & Wednesday). Call 831-620-0645 for more info.

Things are moving along in the vineyards, and I am looking forward to going out tomorrow to see how everything is progressing and will write more after my visit.

Sad News…

We are deeply saddened here by the sudden death of our local sales representative with J&L Wines, Justin Linn. Although he worked for a short while in this area as J&L’s rep, he became an integral part of the industry quickly and was respected for his hardworking and committed attitude. He valued his friends and family, enjoyed the outdoors, and a lasting impression of his smile will remain with me always. He left behind a wife and two beautiful young sons.
Here’s more information from Lorraine Alban about services and how to help his family:

In Memory of

Justin W. Linn

Services are open to all wishing to pay their respects:

Justin’s young family is in great need of financial support. There has been a fund set up for Page and their two young boys at:

Heritage Oaks Bank of Cambria

1276 Tamson Drive Cambria, Ca. 93428

Account # 005382319

In memory of Justin Linn

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, checks and/or cards can be mailed directly to Heritage Oaks Bank in Cambria at the above address. Justin’s wife Page is putting a book together for their sons Caden & Elijah.

Thank you, I am sorry for the loss we are all feeling.

Justin was a fine young man whom I have known for 20 years, and I will always remember his quick wit and insight. He was a damn fine bike rider in his day too, with a wicked sprint and a pat on the back for those he bested. He will be missed.

I first met Justin Linn in 6th grade. Although not super close, I have known Justin for over 25 years. He was a kind and gentle spirit that could accomplish anything he set his mind too. My prays are with him and his family. God Bless
