CIMA COLLINA WINERY TO OPEN ADDITIONAL TASTING ROOM LOCATION
ADJACENT TO WINEMAKING FACILITY AND BARREL ROOM IN MARINA, CA
Opening Summer 2018
MARINA, CA, MARCH 19, 2018 – Cima Collina Winery has plans in the works for a new “urban wine experience“ tasting room, adjacent to the existing winery production facility and barrel room in Marina. The new tasting space is scheduled to open this summer, Friday through Sunday and by appointment for private groups. Cima Collina’s current historic tasting room in Carmel Valley Village will remain open daily for wine tasting and guests.
Located in Marina’s Urban Wine Row, the 1200 square foot dedicated tasting space will incorporate refurbished winery elements, aged wood staves and steel tank tables, in a clean, contemporary design. “Our intent is to create a friendly, local space for learning, connecting and sharing about our industry,” adds Winemaker Annette Hoff. “With the winery close by, we have the luxury to share and improvise at a moment’s notice – barrel samples of an interesting wine, daily filled growlers for home enjoyment or inspired tastes of just about anything new from the winery at that particular moment.“ The space is intended to be a local hang-out to meet with friends as well as a convenient way to sample a bit of Monterey wine country for folks heading down through the Peninsula via Highway One.
Located off Highway One in Marina, the warehouse has been the hub of Cima Collina wine production for the past 13 years. With over 140 French oak barrels and 7 stainless steel tanks lining the walls, Cima Collina Winemaker Annette Hoff and her team crush, press and age an average of 40 tons of grapes annually on site. The new tasting space is currently under design and will sit directly adjacent at the end of the warehouse. “With our recent Staves & Steel event over the past couple of years, we have seen the interest from guests to visit us at our winemaking facility, to experience where and how it all comes together. When the space came available last year, we jumped on it,” comments Michele Gogliucci, Cima Collina Event and Business Development Manager. The space will also be available to rent for private educational events, catered dinners and custom tastings.
The new Cima Collina Winery Tasting Room is located at 3344 Paul Davis Drive, Marina, California and scheduled to open this summer. Stay tuned for details at cimacollina.com, follow @CimaCollinaWine on facebook, twitter or instagram or contact Cima Collina directly at (831)384-7806.
