Laura Ness, The Californian:
“Some of the best food and wine pairings sampled were the 2010 Cima Collina Chardonnay from Tondre vineyard paired with butternut squash soup from the Vineyard Bistro. The wine’s dry, limey minerality was accentuated by the pumpkin seeds: lovely combo. The 2008 Cima Collina Monterey Pinot Noir was soft and fruity, with a top note of raspberry gumdrops and an undertone of pomegranate and earthiness, which worked nicely with the stuffed mushroom with spinach and cheese.”
2010 Cima Collina Chardonnay – $36/bottle
2008 Monterey County Pinot Noir – $26.00/bottle
Pasta Pomodoro:
“Annette’s Chardonnay will be a refreshing surprise for long-time California Chardonnay lovers, while her Pinot Noir is classically reminiscent of the Burgundians that balance luscious dark fruit and earthiness in every glass” Check out more from their blog @ Pasta Pomodoro Restaurant (http://blog.pastapomodoro.com/).
